I don’t really think that the pint-sized dog warranteed a book of its own. I cannot see that the training is any different from the others I have read. It’s a fine book and probably ok if you are not going to buy any other. I expected a whole range of issues I hadn’t thought of that effect small dogs – there really aren’t any!

My seven pound Pomeranian heartily recommends this book for all small dog owners. Very useful advice, clear directions and humorous ways to see the world as a little dog sees it. I will always think of myself as an eight story building now!

I recommend this book for first time owners of small dogs or dogs in general. I have a 3 lb chihuahua and it has helped me socialize her (being “brave”), learn tricks such as sit, stay, lay down, stop her excessive barking, and being possessive of me. I always recommend this book whenever I go to the dog park. Great book!

I have a 4 month old Papillon and I had VERY high hopes for this book. Unfortunately all the information in this book is very basic and will not necessarily work for every dog. The author did a poor job of expanding topics, especially housetraining…very poor. She teaches readers the “watch me” but my puppy has no interest in following treats, has no interest in sitting…holding the treat over the dog’s nose has not worked once. I just wish this book had more information than it does and frankly I am very surprised it has received such high reviews.
